金沙县是赤水河源头酱香白酒的黄金产区。区内酱酒企业生产用水来自赤水河上游的油杉河水库，供水能力3万吨/天，为优质白酒的酿造提供天然净水。金沙县是茅台酒优质原料供应基地之一，是贵州省本地红缨子糯高粱的典型代表，全县有机高粱基地认证30万亩。Jinsha County is located in the prime production area for sauce-aroma baijiu near the source of the Chishui River.Water used by local baijiu enterprises is drawn from the Youshan River Reservoir in the upper reaches of the Chishui River,with a daily supply capacity of 30,000 tons, providing high-quality natural water essential for distilling premium baijiu. Jinsha County is also one of the key suppliers of high-quality raw materials for Moutai production and a representative production base for locally grown Hongyingzi glutinous sorghum in Guizhou Province.The county has300,000mu(200 km2)of certified organic sorghum cultivation bases.
